Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information Carspect handles when you use the website and estimator. Last updated July 11, 2026.
Information we process
Estimator inputs may include vehicle year, make, model, body style, mileage range, optional trim or fuel type, damage selections and description, safety answers, ZIP code, repair preferences, and uploaded photos. Contact requests may include your name, email address, subject, and message. Technical logs may contain an IP address, request time, browser data, and error details.
How we use information
We use the information to analyze visible damage, calculate and present an estimate, secure and troubleshoot the service, respond to requests, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell damage photos. Photos are not used to train AI models without separate, explicit, optional consent.
AI and service providers
Submitted photos and relevant estimate details are sent to the configured vision AI provider solely to perform the requested analysis. Hosting, security, storage, email, and analytics providers may process limited information on our behalf under their terms. The active provider should be disclosed in deployment configuration before launch.
Photo storage and retention
The current implementation sanitizes and processes photos in server memory and does not intentionally persist them in a Carspect database or public storage bucket. If temporary object storage is enabled later, the configured retention limit is 24 hours and the policy and interface must be updated to match. Service providers may maintain short-lived security or operational logs under their own retention rules.
Cookies and advertising
Essential storage may remember security and consent choices. Optional analytics and advertising are disabled by default. If enabled, they require the consent controls described in the Cookie Policy. Estimator photos, VINs, descriptions, report IDs, or contact details must not be sent to analytics. Google advertising cookies may be used only after advertising and the applicable consent mode are enabled.
Security and deletion
Carspect uses validation, restricted file formats, image re-encoding, rate limits, and security headers. No internet service is risk-free. To request deletion or exercise applicable U.S. state privacy rights, email support@carspect.pro. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law.
Children and international visitors
The service is not directed to children under 13. Carspect is designed for the United States; international visitors understand that information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by our providers.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes and will revise the date above. Questions can be sent to support@carspect.pro. The owner’s legal business name and mailing address must be added before commercial launch.
